If I had to use one phrase to sum up my experience working with Kathleen Heuer, it would be “exceeds my expectations.” Coming from a second generation family owned retail business, that is high phrase, where our mantra has always been “service after the sale.” From the mere mention of needing some help getting started with my podcast, Kathleen went above and beyond the call, sharing what she knew, free of charge, to help someone else out. She was prompt in correspondence, patient with me as we discussed the artwork, adamant that I only accept the final product if totally satisfied, and always corresponded promptly with a pleasant demeanor.

A big part of my work is centered around developing relationships with others. Not only have I gained artwork fit for my show, but also an advocate and mentor! If you’re like me, and prefer human interaction over outsourcing sites, then contact Kathleen Heuer today. You’ll be glad you did!

She is always looking to better herself, and learn (and perfect) the latest skills and marketing strategies.…She has had a profound impact on another organization we share a passion for. Always producing excellence, discovering the latest ways to engage audiences, while remaining committed to making a difference in her kids’ (and so many other music kids’) lives! It is a joy to work with Kathleen.

Kathleen is a great role model for Arts Advocacy practitioners. She truly believes in the positive power of the arts to transform and enrich lives. She is constantly seeking out new ways to share information and to create opportunities for art making and enjoyment in her own community. She is a considerate and fun person to work with who fulfills commitments, meets deadlines, and sees to the details.

I also consider Kathleen my personal social media guru. She is quick to teach or help anyone who is curious or confused. Any project with Kathleen involved is a pleasant one.

Kathleen is the perfect combination of innovation, enthusiasm and follow-through. I have seen her advocate tirelessly for that which she believes in most: the importance of the arts in every community, beginning with arts in our school systems. Kathleen works tirelessly to promote and encourage arts-based organizations, seeking to fill needs by organizing two grassroots efforts: Relight the Lamp, which is dedicated to securing funding for The Lamp Theatre’s restoration, and the Norwin Area Arts Council, which promotes arts throughout western Westmoreland County.

As part of this advocacy, Kathleen keeps her organizations’ messages at the forefront of supporters, community members and potential donors minds by building and maintaining successful marketing campaigns, leveraging social media and email to provide timely and cost effective messaging. In addition, she clearly and concisely offers advice to anyone seeking to improve their own social media presence.

Kathleen’s commitment to excellence was reflected in all of her work. She always gave her strongest efforts, both logistically and creatively. She immersed herself in the mission of the organization, which led to strong commitment to the goal of providing outstanding opportunities for student musicians and leaders.  Kathleen always managed to produce incredible print pieces for the needs of the organization.

Kathleen’s personal commitment to the arts, specifically music, in schools was reflected in her work as well. She has remained fully committed to promoting music and the arts in schools, both on a personal level (in her children’s schools), as well as at the professional and volunteer levels. She works tirelessly to support the arts in her community, volunteering time to revitalize a local theatre, and also works in arts advocacy with the Association of Music Parents (AMP). She is well-respected as a social media marketer, and knows the ins and outs of connecting with constituents both virtually and through print.

In everything she does, whether work, volunteer, or home-related, Kathleen gives 100%. She is an absolute gem to work with!

Kathleen was absolutely wonderful to work with and I am so glad to have found her. I had some very frustrating experiences in the past trying to understand certain systems on the computer, and brought my limited knowledge, low expectations and confusion to our meetings. Kathleen was very patient, supportive and clear, as she walked me through the process and ultimately succeeded where others had not.

I am a musician, and my goals were to become more proficient in using Facebook as a promotional tool and to create a website. These goals were met to my complete satisfaction. In addition, I am more knowledgable and can now work independently as a result of all that I learned.

I highly recommend Kathleen, not only for her skill and expertise, but also for her ability to explain difficult concepts, and her availability by phone or email—she even makes house calls!
